Accomplishments

• Set up system for collecting data (with pump and turbidimeter) and gathered some data for turbidity during floc blanket formation in the 2nd sed tank.

Outcomes

• We're ready to collect data!
• Julia saw well formed floc blankets in both of the sedimentation tanks before they were destroyed.

Issues

• Floc blanket wasn't well-formed yet.
• We only have one turbidimeter, so we can only be testing one of the sedimentation tanks at a time. That isn't too big of an issue; however it just means that overnight data collection cannot happen simutaneously.
• When the flow into the system is blocked and then cleared, the sludge blanket is destroyed because the upflow velocity increases far too rapidly.
