Plate Settler Spacing

Accomplishments
- Determined that shear stress at the plate surfaces, which causes flocs to break, is not the limiting factor for determining plate settler spacing.
- Began to sketch set-up for experiment.
Metrics
Outcomes
- Collaborated with machinist to begin preparation of materials for experiment.
Issues
- Do not know exactly what the limiting factor for plate settler spacing is.
- Need to determine what spacing we will use for our experiment. Currently considering various spacings based on floc size and desired plate length. We will seek to collaborate with Ian on this issue.
