Job overview

The AguaClara Program Coordinator will be employed by Cornell University to provide program coordination to the international expansion of the AguaClara project. The program coordinator will have an office in Hollister Hall and will work closely with the program director, the student project team, and international implementation partners.

Job Responsibilities

  • Organize logistics, manage risk, and plan for project events including
    • Annual student tour of project activities in Central America
    • Fundraising events
    • Outreach Activities such as K-12 technology demonstrations
  • Maintain communication with partner organizations
  • Take the lead on grant writing to secure funding for ongoing AguaClara activities
  • Review and revise scientific papers submitted by the AguaClara team for publication
  • Maintain organization of team Wiki
  • Monitor incoming plant performance reports for any indication of problems
  • Archive and summarize plant performance data

Required Skills

  • Fluent in Spanish
  • Proficiency in Grant writing and technical writing
  • Proficiency in Wiki
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
  • Able to work closely with the student team, implementation partners, donors, and the advisory council
