New library employees will receive the following:

  1. Email with a link to a new employee welcome packet presentation.
  2. Within the first two weeks of employment, a meeting will be scheduled by Library Human Resources to welcome new employees to the Cornell University Library system. At this meeting, new employees will receive a personal welcome and reaffirm that our office is available as a resource. They will also be given an overview of Workday basics, Payroll and time collection, and other information related to Cornell University Library culture.
  3. Cornell has an abundance of resources to support career development and growth. Those in leadership roles are strongly encouraged to register for the Supervisor Development Program shortly after arrival and to register for the Hal D. Craft Leadership Program (HDCLP) 6-12 months after arrival. Employees in non-supervisory roles are encouraged to register for Turning Point 6-12 months after arrival.
