I recently joined Agua Clara this semester after learning about the system and technologies in CEE 4540. A

Half way through semester the FTTFC team is on schedule to reaching our goal of designing and fabricating a weir that will allow treatment operators to control the amount of flow into the filters for backwash. We have completed the design and calculations for the base of the filtration system and are now perfecting the weir design. Once this design is completed, materials will be ordered and the fabrication and testing process will begin. I have had several roles on the team this semester. I worked on some of the calculations in designing the base and have also done a lot of the more administrative work such as writing the report, making the symposium presentation and updating the log book.
