Chemical Safety

  1. What personal protection equipment is needed for handling chlorine and granular PACl?

  2. How can plant operators know if their equipment is providing appropriate protection?

  3. What training materials should we be providing to plant operators?
Fall 2015

Summary:

The goals for the Chemical Safety team this semester are to research the safety hazards associated with the chemicals used in AguaClara plants and the personal protective equipment needed to prevent accidents and injuries to plant workers. Based on this research, the team will create chemical safety training materials that will supplement the current safety training guide used in the plants.
