Summer 2014

I am a member of the laminar/turbulent tube flocculation team. This summer, I will be implementing PID control in the clay dosing system for the laminar tube flocculator, which takes in various inputs such as pressure and temperature in order to control the hot and cold water valves pouring into the system. I will be testing the effectiveness of this self regulating system for both the laminar and turbulent tube flocculator. As a member of this team, I plan on running several experiments on the laminar tube flocculator with increasing dosages of PACl to find the ideal concentration.
