Search/Match is an extremely powerful feature in PeopleSoft. At Cornell it is primarily used for maintaining the integrity of the database, with users from many departments entering data into PeopleSoft there is always a chance for creating duplicate entities, to minimize the entry of duplicate or multiple records Search/Match is the utilized as a primary search engine. The three searchable ID types (called Search Types) are :• Person (Emplid).
• Organization (organization IDs within PeopleSoft Enterprise Campus Solutions).
• Applicant (HRS_PERSON_ID within PeopleSoft Enterprise HRMS Talent Acquisition Manager).
Even though there are a quite a few Search/Match rules setup in the system there are only a few Records that are part of the rule, all the records used in Search/Match are listed below:
