Summer 2009 Contributions

I am a member of the Design Team. My first task was to update the ports between flocculator channels from the top to the bottom of the tank walls. From a structural perspective, this is more sound. The exit port that connects the floc tank to sed tank (which is drawn first) had to be moved to allow the water to flow.  The baffle heights had to be changed to accommodate this new water pattern (i.e. up-down instead of down-up).  The current task is to add the inlet port that connects the entrance tank to the flocculation tank.  This requires me to adjust the number and spacing of the baffles in the this channel of the flocculator to fit with this port.
