The Confluence wiki will be unavailable early Sunday morning, August 2nd, beginning at 6 am Eastern Standard Time for several hours while we install updates to bring Confluence from version 5.7.1 to version 5.8.6. The upgrade will consist mainly of bug fixes; however, there are three new features: a new view of Confluence content designed specifically for mobile devices, a method for automatically numbering table rows, and a presentation mode for attached files. If you edit Confluence content, please check a copy of your pages now, in advance of the upgrade, on the test server which is already running version 5.8.6 with a copy of content from July 10th. https://confluence-cloud-test.cit.cornell.edu Please report any questions or problems to confluence@cornell.edu. Not finding a Confluence account when adding permissions? Confluence accounts are created at the time a netID holder logs in for the first time. If you see the error "User netID could not be found. Please confirm his or her existence with a Confluence Administrator" then please ask the user to log in to Confluence once to establish an account. After the first log in, you will then be able to add the netID to Confluence space permissions. Confluence account clean up We are starting a process to deactivate Confluence accounts belonging to graduated students and staff and faculty who have left the university. This process is reversible and does not remove pages or other content added by these users. Please let us know by writing to confluence at cornell.edu if there are any questions or concerns about this process. Older News |
