Press the Results button in the Workflow to extract information from the simulation that was done. In order to find information that can be readily used, first press Evaluate Results. Once the evaluation is complete, press Results in the Objects section of the Results panel. This will display the temperature in the cylinder as a function of radius, as shown below.
In order to get the total heat flux, return to the Results task and press Add > Contour. A new panel will appear and you will be asked to input a variable. In the drop down menu, find Thermal > Heat Flux Magnitude and press Evaluate. A contour will generate much like the one below.
In order to find the directional heat flux, follow the same process for finding the Heat Flux Magnitude, but instead select either Heat Flux X, or Heat Flux Y. Below is an example for each directional heat flux contour.
Heat flux can also be shown with vectors by selecting Vector in the Add drop down menu of the Results panel. Before pressing Evaluate, change the Symbol sizing under Appearance to 0.1.
