Exercise 1: Distributed Load
Using ANSYS, find the deformation and maximum bending stress of the beam when the load is applied as a distributed load. That is, the 8 kN are applied uniformly to the beam as shown in the image below.
Hint: A distributed load of 8kN applied over 4m yields a line force of 2kN/m. The following small image may lead you in the right direction

In ANSYS, find the deformation and the stress of the beam when the load is applied axially instead of transversely.
