ENGRD 1050 Presentations

Presentations are made to the Intro to Engineering 1050 classes for Freshmen throughout the fall semester. The purpose of these presentations is to get new students interested in joining the project.

Depending on the arrangements made with the Professor, the presentation can first be given in the students' classroom and then walk the students down to the lab to see the demo plant. Alternately the entire presentation can be given in the lab. If the presentation is in the lab you will want to check out a projector from the library. Make sure you have enough time to get one from say, Mann if the one in Engineering is checked out. At either location you will want to bring a laptop in case the class does not have one you can use.

A presentation that you can use is one of the Outreach Resources. You may modify the power point to your liking, but please save it as a different copy.

A list of Frequently Asked Questions were compiled to help you prepare for typical questions you might be asked.

The Demo Plant Instruction Manual is in the process of being constructed and will help you set-up and pack the demo plant. There will also be a paper copy in the suitcase with the demo plant.
