Pilot Plant Tube Flocculator

Overview

A tube flocculator was recently constructed at the pilot plant. The tube flocculator will be used to compared the effects of organic matter on coagulation and alum dosing to previous experiments performed in the lab with clay.

Methods and Results

No experiments have been performed on the tube flocculator as of yet.

Construction History

The tube flocculator was constructed in the summer of 2008. To prevent flocs from settling in the tube flocculator is arranged in a vertical figure-eight. A experimental set up for testing the turbidity at various point in the tube flocculator needs to be determined.
