Spring 2008 AutoCAD Team

The AutoCAD division of the Automated Design Team is focused on creating an automatically drawn AutoCAD plan for future water treatment plants. In order to draw these plans, the team writes code in MathCAD that creates text files. The text within these files is then copied and pasted into the command line of AutoCAD and a plant plan is created.

Our current Goals . . .

The previous semester's team created MathCAD files with the ability to draw most major components of the plant. These include:

  • Pipes and Pipe Connectors
  • Grit Chamber with outlet pipes
  • Flocculation Tank
  • Channel leading from Flocculation Tank to Sedimentation Tank
  • Sedimentation Tank with inlet and outlet pipes
  • Plant Level Tank with inlet and outlet pipes
  • Plant Platform
  • Chemical Platform and Chemical Tanks

The Programs that have been completed will have in depth explanations on our Program Help page.

This semester's Goals . . .
