Objective

To create an automated flow control device to add Alum and Chlorine to the raw water as a function of flow rate through the plant.

Research Goals

1. Revise and perfect mathcad code developed from fall 2008.
2. Construct a trial automated flow control device.
3. Test the device to determine efficacy.
4. Compare results with those expected from mathcad and make necessary code changes.
5. Experiment with the trial device until the experimental results match the predictions.
6. Publish scientific paper (and Wiki) on automated flow control device.
