-effective ways to add notes to FOLIO so that we are aware of post-cancellation terms and other items of concern; review types of notes in FOLIO

  • eHoldings Notes: standardized, reusable notes (ex- "cancelled in 2018") were loaded into EBSCO, but don't seem to have made their way to FOLIO eHoldings, even though FOLIO eHoldings has functionality in place for creating an inventory of standardized notes
  • eHoldings Notes: would like to have free text notes in FOLIO at the e-holdings level
  • Agreements Notes:
    • The "description" can be one place to add notes:

      Begell House - databases

      Description
Begell Digital Portal Collection: PO 216513e; e-NERF 1521; Access to Begell ebooks is tied to Begell Digital Library subscription 4/15/2019 yc935
    • Agreements also contain a standardized notes field, the same as the eHoldings Notes.  Question - are the Agreements Notes the same list of notes used in the eHoldings notes?

-are there any notes fields to avoid because other folks in the library might be planning to use them?

-what do we need to record in FOLIO so that we can tie in the acquisitions information so that is easy to find for now; once acquisitions is added to FOLIO, this part of the workflow will change, of course.  I spend a lot of time looking up resource information in this file from Intota: https://cornell.app.box.com/file/618902304246 but we need to get this info into FOLIO, but I am not clear as to the best place to record some of it

-just a general walkthrough to re-familiarize ourselves with the various parts of FOLIO and find the information; some of you may spend more time in FOLIO, so you may not need this review, but it may be helpful to see how other folks interpret the various sections of FOLIO

-maybe Emma can review what she has put into FOLIO already, as she has done the most input work

-anything else?
