Setup Apparatus

• Use FCM column from last semester
• Hook up pressure sensor to bottom of column

Process Controller

• Gemma will setup program to empty column when full
• Regulate data through PC

For Next Week

• Get setup complete
• Make sure PC is regulating data and emptying column when necessary
• Start running first background experiments

Process Controller

• Gemma and Ian set up the process controller over the weekend but empty state was not working correcting and the value shut off after it opened.
• Monroe helped solve the problem by creating a new empty state
• Problem with previous old state unknown

Running Experiment

• Filled the bucket and set up the automated process controller to collect data
• Pressure data is being collected per second

Next Week

• Analyze collected data
• Make necessary changes to set up (position pressure value so it cannot be moved)
• Run a test with a know initial level of water in clay pot
