When: Saturday, June 16, 1 PM

Where: Meet at  Podunk Rd in Trumansburg, NY

Service begins

Tony carries urn from downstairs family room to patio, while all sing “In the garden”.  Tony places the urn in the wagon. 

Spreading of ashes

  • All proceed to these locations in this order (adjustments will be made as attendance firms up). 
  • These locations are places where Jack spent considerable time and effort, and took pride in.  The trees listed are trees that he planted.

  • Hymn singing will continue throughout from the list below, and as they come to mind.

Pond                                                                                                                      

  • All proceed to the pond. 
  • Dee and Addie will pull the wagon, with help from Tony  if needed. 
  • Jean will scatter ashes.

Garden with arbor

  • All proceed to the garden with the arbor.
  • Jean will pull the wagon.
  • Marianne will scatter ashes.

Woodpile & tractor

  • All proceed to the area around the tractor and woodpile.
  • Marianne will pull the wagon.
  • Cherith will scatter ashes.

Red Maple 1

  • All proceed to the first red maple.  
  • Marianne will pull the wagon.
  • Michelle will scatter ashes.

Red Maple 2

  • All proceed to the second red maple.  
  • Michelle will pull the wagon.
  • Tony will scatter ashes.

Red Maple 3

  • All proceed to the third red maple.  
  • Tony will pull the wagon.
  • Kim will scatter ashes.

Maple in Front

  • All proceed to the green-leafed maple.  
  • Kim will pull the wagon.
  • Trista will scatter ashes.

Ash tree 1

  • All proceed to the first ash tree.  
  • Trista will pull the wagon.
  • Marcus will scatter ashes.

Ash tree 2

  • All proceed to the second ash tree.  
  • Marcus will pull the wagon with help as needed.
  • Dee will scatter ashes.

Ash Tree 3

  • All proceed to the third ash tree.  
  • Dee will pull the wagon. 
  • Addie will scatter ashes.

Return to the patio

  • All return to the table on the patio.
  • Marianne will pull the wagon. 

Selection of lanyards, capsules and fill tube

In the same order, (Jean, Marianne, Cherith, Michelle, Tony, Kim, Trista, Marcus, Dee, Addy), and in turn, all select a silk lanyard, a capsule, and a fill tube.

Recessional

Kim takes ashes back inside and places on table to musical selection “Baby don’t you cry” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=inqd00PuNqQ.   All are encouraged to sing.  (Lyrics here.)

After the service, all are invited to eat together

There will be time for sharing regarding our reflections on Jack’s life during the meal. Food below will be provided. Other contributions (chips, drinks, etc. are welcome)
