Improvements to author search and fixes to bugs from release 0.1.

Features & Improvements

• Author Search:

  • There is some confusion between how the classic author search works compared to the new author search, so we will update the documentation to clarify the differences.
    

  • Users expect to see better results when searching for multiple (co-)authors.

• Reintroduce (experimental) full-text search: users were disappointed to see the classic experimental full-text search disappear, so we have reintroduced that option. 

• Tweaks to user interface: 
  • Some users find the small and light abstract text too hard to read.
  • Some mobile users are having trouble interacting with the advanced search form.

Bugs

• Author search fixes:
  
  • Users are having trouble searching for names that contain hyphens.
  • There are some problems searching for names using initials. 
  • Searching all papers for authors yields too many false positives. We should be sorting results by relevance by default, and be clearer through documentation about what relevance means.
• Errors in handling certain characters: a set of special characters is causing the interface to return errors when it shouldn't.
• Miscellaneous:
  
  • There's some inconsistency in how we are linking to the abstract page and paper PDF in the search results.
  • There are problems searching for papers that have classifications in categories that are no longer canonical.
  • A small set of papers is missing from the index, or can't easily be found.
