As a user at CNF, in addition to your AFS fileserver and CNF Thin login accounts,
you have a login in the CNF Windows Domain. With your Window login, you have
access to CNF printers, your AFS filespace, programs installed on the CNF
Windows computers, and a roaming Windows profile.

 Roaming Profiles

Because Windows downloads and then saves the whole Windows profile at logon
and logoff time, large profiles can take a long time to transfer over the
network. Hence, CNF has limited the size of the Windows profile to 200MB. If
you exceed this profile size, Windows will notify you that you will be unable
to logoff until you either delete some data or move some data out of your
Windows profile to another location. Other locations include burning a CD/DVD,
using a USB flash drive, or someplace in AFS.

Your profile can be larger than 200MB while logged in (in case you need to
work with large files). It just must be smaller than 200MB before you logoff.

Special Windows folders, such as "My Documents" and your Desktop, are now
redirected to AFS under the hood. So, when working on your Desktop, for example,
you are actually working straight out of AFS. You can find these folders in
W:\win_folders

Before you logoff, make sure you still have AFS Tokens (check for the absence
of the red X over the lock icon in the system tray). Without AFS Tokens,
Windows will be unable to write your profile back to the windows_profile
folder in your AFS directory.

To keep your private data private, logout of Windows by choosing "Log Off" from the Start menu.

 AFS Folders

The toplevel of the CNF AFS cell is mapped to the X: drive.

Your AFS home folder is mapped to the W: drive.

 Printers

Upon logging into Windows, the various CNF printers will be automatically
setup for you.
