Objective: To develop guidelines for balancing solar energy generation and green infrastructure in landscaping designs
Background: Installing solar panels on rooftops often requires cutting down existing trees.
Scope of Work: MEng students will work with PhD students to integrate micro-environmental and energy simulations, which will enable analysis on how different landscaping designs will affect building energy consumptions. Design guidelines will be developed to maximize solar generation and the benefits of green infrastructure.
