The AguaClara plant in Jesús de Otoro, Intibucá treats 20 L/s for a community of roughly 5,000 people. It was built with funds from the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation and the municipality. Construction ran from March to November, 2014, and the plant was inaugurated January 21, 2015.

Jesús de Otoro actually has three drinking water treatment systems administrated by three distinct water boards. The AguaClara plant is administrated by JABASCO, the water board for the Santa Cruz neighborhood.
