    1. AppleTV - Sara heard that CIT has lifted the block on necessary ports
      1. we have one...can we use it now?

        1. Jim: noticed Agati displays are not being used when making Suma rounds
        2. Tobi & Howard: We've been seeing about 50% so maybe time of the day
      3. Sara: Crestron AirMedia -> $1k each (need 4)

        2. 20 rooms for $899 annually

          1. need 4 right now, possibly more (shouldn't be a problem)
          2. CUL will cover the first year as pilot
          3. then later we will split it with Law if no one else wants it
        4. Sara: Nick and I discussed potential of adding new display(s) to lobby
          1. Nick: ideally two overhead entrance to library (above each set of double doors, hanging from ceiling)
          2. but costs to have this installed could be more than our entire budget
          3. Nick will research some options

            • Basically, we're looking at $50 - $200 for ceiling mount (major determinant in price is length of pole – need to measure ceiling height).
            • Floor stands are in the $200-$300 range
            • Commercial 55" LCD (LED backlit) are at $1000 price point as of today
            • We would need hardware to power each LCD
            • Ideal to have two ceiling mounted LCDs, one above each set of double doors at entrance to library, but installation costs will probably put this out of reach
            • So is it worth it to compromise on a single screen on a floor stand behind the glass and between the two sets of double doors?
            • All of the floor stands have a fairly large footprint in front of the LCD for counter balance so the screen wouldn't sit directly against the glass.
          4. group agreed this was a good place to focus our energy and part of our 2nd floor budget
        5. Tobi: circ display - Big Red Bikes are gone forever as of Sunday
          1. Nick will remove this from the display 
  3. Update from Gabriel on low-tech options for 2nd floor budget (via Nick)
    1. looked at video walls and interactive display
      1. nothing less than $20k
      2. and that doesn't include dev or content
    2. recommending we go with docking stations
      1. Mac: Thunderbolt Display ( $950 )
      2. Windows: build our own
        1. purchase monitor, keyboard, mouse (~$500)
      3. doesn't think we need to have equal playing field for mac and pc
      4. we piloted these back in 2012/2013
      5. macs were very popular from the beginning
      6. we could get one of each...and use the rest of the budget elsewhere
        1. or we could purchase more?
      7. good idea?
        1. general consensus was this is a good idea
      8.  how many?
        1. agree it doesn't need to be equal playing field
