Eriko Inagaki's Individual Contribution Page

Spring 2013

I am a part of the Floc Sed Optimization team this semester. We plan to produce a more reliable floc blanket using PACl. We will aim to reduce the loss of coagulant sticking onto the tube walls by adding a large diameter reactor. Imaging capabilities will be added to monitor the real time floc blanket height. The images will be processed by Process Controller, and it would return summary values of the floc blanket. In the experiment, we will vary the coagulant dose and measure the time spent to build a floc blanket. The results will be compared with theoretical floc build times. Then, floc recycle will be added to see an improvement in performance.
