Foam Filtration Design
Our team is working on finalizing the design of the point-of-use foam filtration unit. By the end of the semester, we hope to have concrete dimensions andThe design of the point of use system is underway. We are looking into different possible designs for the filter. Much of the work we have done thus far is focused on the alum doser and ways to incorporate alum dosing into the system. Analysis of each proposed design was done using MathCAD in order to determine its feasibility from a quantitative standpoint.

Head Loss Calculations
Research from fall 2010 was continued in hopes of determining the head loss through foam as a function of filter run time. We were also interested in determining the head loss at filter collapse.
