ANC CONTROL

FUTURE CHALLENGES

1. Do the ANC Tests with samples that were periodically collected during experiments.

2. Repeat the Filtration test, finding a more accurate way to collect the mass of solids remaining after experiments.

3. Build the new design with 2" diameter segment in vertical column, to keep particles suspended lower in the apparatus.

4. Confirm distilled water results, repeating the overloading experiment with distilled water and analyzing results from ANC tests.

5. Repeat the multi-day overloading experiment.

6. Make a trial with Honduran lime.

7. Explore particle size effect.

8. Try placing the pH probes in a small beaker through which the effluent flows. Set up hydraulic conditions that cause intermittent flow into the beaker.  This will eliminate voltage fluctuations and may result in more accurate pH readings.
