CFD Simulation

Motivation & Objective

Create a CFD simulation to predict velocity gradients and pressure losses over each baffle in the flocculation tank. Use results to optimize the design of the flocculation tank.

Semester Research Goals

1. Literature search on pressure losses over pipe bends.
2. Create and validate a CFD model of the flow over a pipe elbow.
3. Model and validate a simple 180 degree turn over one baffle.
4. Model flocculation tank and compare the result with the current experimental setup.
