At anytime during processing a request may be canceled by the staff.

   1. From the main menu select Cancel. This will open the Item Cancellation screen as
      shown in figure 19.1.

   2. From the list provided select the reason for cancellation.

        a) If you wish you may send an e-mail to the patron by checking the Send E-mail on
           this cancellation? check-box.

        b) If you wish to review the full text of the e-mail before sending check the Re-
           view/Edit E-mail before sending? check-box.

     c) If you wish to add a system alert for the cancellation select the Send System Alert
        on this Cancellation? check-box.

3. You may add additional notes in the space provided. When you are ready click on the
   Cancel button. The request will be marked as Canceled by Staff; if selected an e-mail
   or system alert will be sent.
