On the Plate Settler Spacing Team, I have worked on the Theoretical Analysis of the Velocity Gradient. This model is used to predict the size of the particles that will "roll up" into the effluent water. Later in the semester, experiments are planned to determine the accuracy of this model. In addition, I helped perform the Experiment with Saturated Water Influent and helped analyze the data. Also, because the team is planning to experiment with natural organic matter, I helped perform a preliminary literature search to provide background information for this experiment.
