- The Page Title is by default an H1 heading, and so all headings on your page should be H2 and any sub-headings in the H2 section should be H3. H4 headings (or smaller) will be too similar to the text size on the page, and generally not recommended.
- Do not use bold or italics as a substitute for a heading.
- Do not skip heading levels. Proper order of headings helps screen readers understand the structure of the page.
