The workstations in the Swanson lab can not generate valid turbulent wind files. This creates an error when the user tries to replace the default wind file. It also turns out the simulations can not be performed using the default wind file either. Turbulence wind files with various conditions will be provided to you to complete your Wind Power course project. Make sure you download and extract the files in the appropriate working directory.

  • Turbulent wind with mean speed of 11 m/s can be downloaded here.

UPDATE, DECEMBER 3, 2013: WE HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO GET BLADED TO RUN USING THESE WIND FILES OR THE DEMO WIND FILE. THE ERROR WE GET IS "UNRECOGNIZED TURBULENT WIND MODEL". WE ARE TROUBLESHOOTING THIS ISSUE AND WILL POST AN UPDATE.
