Floc Recycle Venturi Team
We will analyze the feasibility of using a venturi to transport flocculated water from the sedimentation tank to the beginning of the flocculator. By increasing the turbidity of water near the entrance to the flocculator, we aim to increase collisions and reduce the necessary size of the flocculator.
Current & Future Research
We are currently determining the necessary dimensions of a venturi for AguaClara plants and then evaluating the feasibility of this design. If practical, we aim to construct and test a venturi, which could provide challenges from constraints on materials and construction techniques.
