Result

 

Press the Results button in the Workflow to extract information from the simulation that was done. In order to find information that can be readily used, first press Evaluate Results. Once the evaluation is complete, press Add Results in the Objects section of the Resultstab. First press Temperature in order to get panel. This will display the temperature in the cylinder as a function of radius, as shown below.

press Add but this time press contourIn order to get the total heat flux, once again return to the Results task and press Add > Contour. A new tab panel will appear and you will be asked to input a variable, in . In the drop down menu, find Thermal > Heat Flux Magnitude and press Evaluate. A contour will generate much like the one below.

In order to find the directional heat flux, follow the same process for finding the Heat Flux Magnitude, but instead select either Heat Flux X, or Heat Flux Y, or Heat Flux Z. Below is an example for each directional heat flux contour.

Heat flux can also be shown with vectors by selecting Vector in the add Add drop down menu of the Results section. Make sure you edit the symbol sizing to be less than 0.4 otherwise the program will potentially crash. panel. Before pressing Evaluate, change the Symbol sizing under Appearance to 0.1.
