Included in the charge are the following responsibilities:
- Keep abreast of metadata conventions/development in visual resource arena
- Develop policies regarding passwords, public support, collection development, and reference referrals
- Develop project workflows
- Look towards the future of Visual Resources, including multimedia-related issues and delivery systems
- Advise and partner strategically with other stakeholders in CUL and the University who are developing or supporting similar resources
- Prioritize objectives, document yearly accomplishments, reassess as needed
- Concentration in understanding user perspectives, discovery of images and usability issues. How are visual resources are being used by students and faculty?
- Coordinate or co-sponsor public forums on issues relating to digital image collection development and/or use
- Maintain the Visual Resources page on the library website, found at https://www.library.cornell.edu/visual-resources
