financed by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (COSUDE) and the municipality. Construction ran from March to November, 2014, and the plant was inaugurated January 21, 2015.

for four months in late 2014. Jesús de Otoro actually has three drinking water treatment systems administrated by three distinct water boards. The AguaClara plant is administrated by JABASCO, the water board for the Santa Cruz neighborhood. This neighborhood is largely residential and includes roughly 800 households. They will be installing water meters in their network throughout 2015.
