Alum Aging Effects

Experimental Setup

We're running the The Demo Plant was run at a flow rate of 100mL/min with just mixedfresh, one, two, three, and 4 four day old mixed alum solution and logging the turbidities while recording the turbidity with respect to time for each run. From this we will determine whether allowing alum to sit for days it will be determined if aged alum has an effect on particle coagulation.

Our The results suggest that there is no conclusive evidence showing that allowing alum solution to age effects its ability to coagulate particles.
