This semester, my main task as the subleader of the hydraulic design team was to coordinate the different activities that involved this team.
During the first half of this semester I was involved in defining the goals for the team (which can be found here: Hydraulic S08 Goals ), help writing the Spring 2008 Midterm Report (found here: Automated Design Midterm Report Spring 2008 ) specifically the sections detailing Launder, Sludge Pipe, and plant leveling tank designs, helped Cherish Scott write the Grit Chamber Design program, and I also wrote the algorithms for the Launder Design, Sludge Pipe Design, Pipe Sizes, and the Plant Leveling Tank. I also helped the engineers stationed at Honduras with any problems they might come up with (documented here: General Progress Reports).

I also worked with the entire design team to create the final presentation. My algorithms for the Launder, Sludge Pipe, and Plant Leveling Tank functions on the final algorithm report for Spring 2008 (found here: Automated Design Algorithms). I reported the current status on the algorithms I created, and also offered my suggestions for future work on the grit chamber on the Spring 2008 Final Report (found here: Automated Design Final Report Spring 2008 ).
As a side task this semester, I gave a presentation at the Hondurean Embassy to promote the AguaClara project accross Honduras, as well as to persuade the State Government of Honduras to get involved with the project.
