Fall 2015 Contributions

This semester, I was part of the Chemical Safety research team. We created a chemical safety training presentation to be used in the plants in Honduras. Included in this presentation is information regarding first aid measures, storage and transportation of chemicals, and personal protective equipment. I was responsible for translating all of this information into Spanish for the presentation. I also created one of the two posters we made to demonstrate the proper use of PPE in the plant.

Spring 2016 Contributions

This semester I am was a member of the Fabrication team, and will be working on redesigning Constant Head Tank subteam of the Fabrication team. I helped to redesign the constant head tank to be better resistant to chlorine and , able to accommodate the larger float valve, easier to clean, and easier to drain. I also learned to use the PVC welder, though we did not end up using it for our final design.

Fall 2016 Contributions

This semester I am a member of the Chemical Dose Controller subteam. We will be designing a modular CDC system for smaller plants, as well as fine-tuning the new constant head tank design.
