Mr. Brown is a Managing Director of OEP. Prior to joining OEP in 2002 as a Partner, Mr. Brown was President of Skidmore, Owings & Merrill and Vice President of the General Ken Brown has been a partner with One Equity Partners
since early 2002 and is currently based in Miami. OEP is the private
equity arm of JPMorgan Chase & Co. and manages $8 billion of direct
private equity investments in some 30 different portfolio companies
around the world. Previously, Brown was president of Skidmore,
Owings & Merrill LLP and corporate vice president of the General
Electric Company, where he held regional CEO positions served in regional corporate executive
and operating roles in Latin America and Southeast Asia. Before GE, he was Vice President at Brown also
spent 15 years in the mining, energy, and natural resources industry as
a vice president of Inspiration Resources Corporation, a major mining and agricultural chemicals company, Senior Manager senior manager
in the consulting practice division of Price Waterhouse, and Senior Engineering Manager at SAIC and the Solar Energy Research Institute. Mr.Brown serves on the Boards of Vacuumschmelze and EMCON Technologies. Mr. Brown received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University (with distinction)and an M.A. in Engineering Science and Economics from Oxford University, where he was a Rhodes Scholarsenior engineering
manager at Science Applications International.
