I tested the LibAuth config that I had initially setup in Jan 2018. It all still appears to be working as expected based on contained testing within the LibAuth module. I have the following groups setup:

    • Students Only (Undergrad & Grad)
    • Faculty & Staff Only

This probably doesn't cover all our needs, especially when considering this will apply to all spaces and equipment at Mann, but I'm thinking we'll also allow just a valid NetID (no group restriction) for certain situations (seminar/conf rooms and all equipment).

I do have a couple questions for the rest of the group to consider:

    1. What about our NY state patrons? At the moment we limit reservations to @cornell.edu domain so not really a change from current practice.
    2. When is a good time for more thorough testing? When we apply this to LibCal it would affect all spaces and equipment at Mann. Would be nice to coordinate during a time when we can have a real student confirm that the Students Only group is working properly. I can only test that it doesn't let me in (wink)
