Description

PHIDL is a python library for scripting GDS.

Instead of using CAD software to draw out your design, you can script the drawing/creation of the GDS design. Scripting is useful when you need a large number of different shapes, when elements are irregularly distributed, or simply because the large number of steps involved makes mistakes with a GUI CAD software likely.

Using

The appropriate Python PHIDL support libraries are installed on the CNF Conversion Computers, Korat and Minx. Instructions for setting up and using PHIDL either on Korat and Minx or on your own system are on the CNF UserWiki GDSII Scripting for Lithography page.
