Spring 2011 - PSS Team

Though I am a new member of AguaClara project team, I am actually very familiar with AguaClara since I took the theory course last semester. I learned a lot about how to design a great plant and play with various equations and MathCAD to achieve our objective.

For this semester, I am working in the PSS sub-team, particularly on setting up the experiments, designed three new tubes, the Pi-ratio theory, data analysis and at the end of this semester, we will design of a small-scale sedimentation tank for testing plate settlers spacing and write a paper about our research.

Enjoying working and living in the AguaClara Lab with my dear teammates!

AguaClara gave me great experience to devoted myself as a team player. As a team player, I completed my each task assigned by the team leader on time. Also, I always actively presented my idea to the team and I love to help team members with their problems too.

I wrote programming codes for designing new tubes, which are used to simulate the plate settlers in the sedimentation tank, kept track of experimental progress and analyzed data under the guide of the team leader. I also independently practiced the new idea of sensitivity analysis of pi-ratio theory. I used analyzing methods from another course I took during that time called Risk Analysis and Management. In addition, together with Cosme, we spent plenty of time working on data analysis, using excel to create various chats, adding statistical bar to each data point and so forth. I feel so great that our achievements were well recognized by students and professors during the final presentation.
