Spring 2015 Contributions
This semester I will be specifically focusing on the EPA P3 Phase II Award, with a Final Report due this coming March and the symposium in Washington D.C. in April. I additionally will be working on outreach and technical writing/videography for the foam filter.
January 2015 Contributions
I attended the 2-week trip to Honduras this January. During the trip, I worked with my team on fabricating a functioning foam filter in El Carpintero. We were able to use our filter on the community's overflow water and test our filtration and backwash efficiencies.
Fall 2014 Contributions
I worked on the Foam Filtration subteam this semester, with the main goals of creating a small 4-inch filter to allow for controlled lab testing as well as working towards the EPA P3 Phase II Award. This semester I also took CEE 4540, and spent a significant amount of time familiarizing myself with the design. I assisted with fabrication, but especially focused on the EPA award proposal, as well as editing and updating reports.
