Spring 2015 Contributions

For the Spring of 2015 I will be working with the new White Paper team. Our task is to develop technical writing and diagrams to describe AguaClara with the goal of producing materials that could be used to promote AgauClara technologies to technical entities that are not already involved with us.

Fall 2014 Contributions

During the Fall of 2014 I continued to work on the Sand filter, the name of which changed to Enclosed Stacked Rapid Sand Filter (EStaR.) The goals for our team were to contiue to try and understand the inconsistencies when backwashing, and to begin to test the filter using raw water and coagulant dosing.

Summer 2014 Contributions

This summer I am working as in intern for the AguaClara Summer Program. I will be working on the Low Flow Stacked Rapid Sand Filter (LFSRSF) Team. Our goals for this summer are to determine the sources of head loss through filter and use our findings to determine whether we need to rethink the design and fabrication of the filter. I will also be continuing some of the PR work from Spring semester working on website updates and continuing blog posts.

Spring 2014 Contributions

This is my first semester with AguaClara and I am working on the Public Relations (PR) team. Throughout the semester I helped conduct interviews of the subteams, and writing blog posts for the AguaClara blog to convey the work the teams are doing as well as writing an Alumni newsletter. I also began working on updating the AguaClara website.
