Fall 2012
Remaining on the Demonstration Plant Team, this semester we finalized the design of the plant. After travelling to Nepal early on in the semester, a few issues were encountered which were then ironed out and retested. From this point our team set on creating four more plants by the end of the semester, two of which are to be brought to Honduras and Peru over the winter break.
Summer 2012
During the summer of 2012 I was a part of the Demonstration Plant team and helped completely revamp the old plant. That included starting with a fresh layout in order to make it more intuitive to set up and run, as well as more transportable and aesthetically pleasing. Furthermore, we fixed, modified, and replaced components of the plant that did not function correctly. Lastly, we wrote a user manual complete with assembly instructions and a cost sheet, outlining each part in the new demo plant.
