Fall 2015 Contributions

I work on the Flocculator Efficiency sub-team, which aims to understand and address dead zones and regions of poor mixing in the filtration system's flocculator. This semester our team built a flocculator scale model and used dye to visualizes water flow through the tank. Our experiments confirmed the dramatic effect of adding obstacles to diminish dead zones! As Team Coordinator this semester, I enjoyed facilitating team meetings and setting weekly goals to ensure we stuck to our timeline.
