"Spring 2016" Contributions

This semester I will be working on the fabrication team. This subteam consists of Chemical Dose Controller (CDC), OStaRS, Floc hopper probe, and Low cost turbidimeter. I am a part of the OStaRS team which focuses on improving the assembly of OStaRS filters with adequate support under manifolds and trunks and time-saving method to assemble. The challenge will be simplifying the assembly and minimizing the number of tools used in the filter by utilizing refined spacer and support system.

"Fall 2015" Contributions

I worked on Stacked Rapid Sand Filter Injection and Extraction (StaRS FInE) in this semester. This subteam aimed at figuring out an alternative method for water to travel through the filter. Because the filtration system had met the clogging problem when used slotted pipes, our team tested the winged pipe in this semester to find whether we could replace the slotted pipes with winged pipe for the filtration system.  Further, the team conducted stress test on vertical wings on inlet pipe.
