Summer 2012 Contributions

• Primarily machine and design work under order specifications from team leader Harrison on the Fabrication Team.
• Worked on design of Inlet Manifold support for high-flow plants connecting 8inch pipes between diffusers and experimented with 'feet' for support.
• Helped design Orifice Plate to create head loss for influent water to flocculator.
• Machined and created model of drain system for sedimentation tank.
• Worked on Alum Dose Controller for low flow plants. Controller allows for both automatic flow rate and manual turbidity adjustment

Fall 2012 Contributions

• Joined the Design Team and worked with Amy Boncelet on the Entrance Tank under supervision from Tori Klug.
• Given task of creating alternate Entrance Tank design for plants with two inlet sources to regulate both flows.
• Work involved brainstorming new design and familiarizing with and implementing changes in Mathcad.
