I am part of the Design Team. On Friday the 14th of September we finished the Aguaclara trainings which were an introduction on how to use MathCAD and AutoCAD. I have been assigned the task of constructing a Materials List. I will be focusing at first on the hydraulic design materials and will later be extending it to include structural materials as well. A primary focus of the materials list is to make it useful for the construction teams in Honduras. The materials list will also include pricing such that the final materials list will be used as a materials cost estimate for the plant that will be constructed. A final objective that will come into play after the materials list is adequately built is that the materials list will be able to optimize the plant components to reduce costs. I will be working on that throughout this semester and possibly into the next semester.
